How does heaven look
I go to prepare a place for you. Heaven is a majestic place because God rules in majesty there, dwelling with believers Revelation In the Old Testament, God dwelt in a temporary tent, the Tabernacle. But in Heaven He dwells with us in a lasting place. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying.
There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away. Every day on earth, new fears, tearful news, plagues us. But in Heaven God turns every hurt to a hallelujah, every Calvary to an Easter. No more disease, funerals, or death. Revelation , What has messed up planet Earth? Every time you see sorrow, heartbreak, sickness and pain, ultimately behind it all is sin.
Our world has the curse of sin on it. Its walls and gates, diamond-like, are breathtaking in beauty. Can you imagine the brilliance, the glow of the glory of God, the colored jewels, the verdant greens, the sky blue, the red, the violet?
The Size of the City. When the Temple was built, the Holy of Holies was a small square room representing God's presence with His people. The Sounds of the City. If Jew and Gentile are together, what will we be singing? The songs of redemption Revelation ; ; Robert G. The Sights of t he City. The walls are not to keep us in, because the gates are open, nor to keep the wicked out; they are in Hell.
These shimmering walls are there for the glory of God. I do believe Jesus paid the ultimate price in blood for our sins, and that if we trust and believe in him, and receive him as our savior, we can attain salvation. I know our time is coming very soon to stand before him.
I have asked Jesus into my life, but I still sin. I want and need so badly to know him, but I know if I met him five minutes from now, I would not be worthy of his grace.
I am trying so hard. What if I take up a religion, and they are wrong? This scares me. Is it enough to believe and trust in him? I know I also have to live my life by his standards. That is not right. I want that relationship with him because he is my ONLY true friend. I am worried because I keep on sinning.
I want to be worthy of him. Any advice? I want to live right. Please respond soon. Tomorrow may not come, I just want to be ready. Thank you so much and god bless. I have never claimed to know much about religion, or God for that matter, but I have always had a sense that there is something so powerful and wonderful that leads me through this world. Knowing that, and seeing these breathtaking images, allows me to believe. Thank you for sharing these inspiring pictures!!!
Sandra - Hello, I really love the work you do. My husband is an artist and dose a lot of painting for our church plays backgrounds before he was saved he wanted to try to work for a comic company.
I guess I'm writing you because he still wants to do that but for a different reason to tell others through his art about his faith in Jesus Christ. Eve - To Robin Murphy: Do you really think you could get away with it as you stand before God on judgement day?
Please search for your self and find the answer, as Jesus does not wish for any to parish, he will forgive you and still welcome you in to his kingdom. We will not dwell on this so much and because we do good we wont worry about being saved, he will save the good people on the earth! So it is best to keep Jesus in your heart always and while your here show others Christ within you in all you do, so others may want him too in their hearts, to all live with him forever in this beautiful city in heaven, it is real.
Salvador - The very top picture of Jesus standing between the lions in front of the golden city is my very favorite. To me, it is a very spiritual and awe-inspiring picture.
It is my very favorite. I believe that what we humankind imagine is but a fraction of the glory of the Real thing. I think we are all up to a beautiful surprise. Let us all look forward to it. Selena - GOD is good! At times when i think about him, and i pray. I cry out of no where! It could be just light, it could be lush gardens, it could be anything really. God makes everything a mystery for us. Life is like a book, it could end good or very badly.
God bless. I really wish God could give us at least a sign to hint us what Heaven is like. But I guess not, for now, Heaven will remain a mystery for us people on Earth. I give thanks to them for giving me my talents. I could even have a bigger talent that I have yet not discovered. I used to be afraid of death. Several of my family members have died within the last years. I swear, she was like another Nanna to me. May she rest in peace and live the rest of her life in the Heavens. But I've been trying to learn more and more about Heaven.
Like stated above, Heaven is like a mystery, no one has seen or heard of the Heavens on earth. One day, when Christ comes again, all of us believers will meet again in Heaven.
The ones who have passed are safe in heaven, not suffering. But the ones that are on earth are the ones suffering from non-believers, sinners, pain, just bad things in general. No life is a waste. I kinda feel guilty. Sundays and Saturdays are really busy. Well mostly everyday is is. What should I do? Though that was almost thirteen years ago, I still remember it like I had it last night.
I remember walking through this beautiful little village, something between a Thomas Kingkad painting my grandmother has them everywhere in her house and a little Vermont town. The streets where cobblestone, but it was a beautiful stone, and there were flowers, and gardens and trees all around. There were little cottages and shops tucked among the gardens, and swings, and slides and sandboxes for children to play in, and benches to sit on everywhere.
There were white, but weathered picket fences, and the grass was so green. But the thing i remember most was the people. Women shopping or trading , hanging laundry, cooking and just talking. Men working on roofs, walking with their wives and dogs and children. And the children. They were running all over the place, laughing and playing games. Everyone was happy there, never complaining, living in complete happiness and joy and enjoying one another company. Through the whole dream the sun was like how it is on a summers evening, right before it sets.
Everyone was just so happy and there was no sadness, or wrong. For years I tried to figure out what this place was, cuz I certainly never went there. It was too beautiful, too perfect to be on earth. But I also read about people who were shown hell and I jape there is more time for some other people who would not go to heaven if we were taken now I do get tired of this hurtful place.
You just gave me some strength and peace that I very much needed today. Thank you. Jeanine - The image that you put is so inspiring and realistic. It is really true that heaven is more than fabulous and amazing.
The Heaven is unexplainable place to describe what is it. I can imagine my relatives who passed and is now living in an everlasting paradise. Thanks… Kasor - Excellent post at What does Heaven look like? Heaven and Golden New Jerusalem. I was checking continuously this blog and I am impressed!
I was looking for this certain information for a very long time. Thank you and good luck. Devin - My Nanny did just last year and it feels like it was just yesterday and then i seen these pictures and now i said she's in a wonder place. God spares no creativity and magnificence in creating this city.
It has twelve walls with the names of the twelve tribes of Israel written on them. The city also has twelve foundations with the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb written on them.
This lets us know that both Old Testament and New Testament believers will inhabit this city. The wall surrounding this city is made of jasper, a type of gemstone , and the city itself is made of the purest gold, as transparent as glass. The foundations of the wall are each decorated with precious stones. Even the street in this city is made of pure gold. Truly, heaven will be a place of exquisite beauty that goes beyond anything you have ever seen or imagined.
The beauty of heaven will blow your mind. Nevertheless, the wonder of heaven is not just in what it looks like. The wonder is also in the experience of heaven which is found in this same chapter. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. In Exodus 33 Moses asked God to show him his glory.
This will not be the case in heaven. We will experience the unmatched, unimaginable glory of God with no constraint or restriction. I can assure you, you have never experienced the presence of God like it will exist in heaven. That will be a glory that goes far beyond all our human words. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.
The old order of things the world we live in now has been stained by the impact of sin. In heaven God will forever remove that stain. When that is gone, notice what is also gone with it: death, mourning, crying, pain. There will be no more tears, but eternal joy. The nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their splendor into it. On no day will its gates ever be shut, for there will be no night there.
There will never again be a need for the moon or sun because his brilliance will be the only source of everlasting light.
And although we cannot even begin to comprehend its splendor, the Bible gives us beautiful descriptions of the place in which those who have received Jesus will spend eternity. Here are 10 beautiful descriptions of heaven from the Bible.
These can give us a better idea of what heaven will look like and be like! I go to prepare a place for you. From my back window, I can see impressive-looking homes dotting the landscape of the foothills.
Before His death, Jesus comforted his disciples with the promise that he would go and provide a place for them. The most beautiful part was His assurance that He would return for them and receive them unto Himself. Welcomed into heaven by the Way, the Truth, and the Life, will be the culmination of the hope we have in Christ.
But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels, to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are registered in heaven, to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect Hebrews This Bible passage is rich with beautiful and detailed descriptions of heaven.
To try and picture the multitudes spread out before the Living God is amazing, and altogether incomprehensible. Mount Zion, the city of David and the eternal possession of God Most High, will be the holy city where all will assemble to worship Him. The triumphal entry , mentioned in the Gospels, portrayed Jesus riding on a donkey into the city of Jerusalem.
The Jews had lined the streets with their cloaks, waving palm branches and praising God for the miracles they had seen Jesus perform Luke Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord! The King of Israel! In heaven, there will be no confusion about the Prince of Peace. Every saint, from every tribe and tongue will be clothed in robes of white, waving palm branches of genuine praise.
